Description:
As all other materials from the aforementioned instances have some uses in newer content, the materials above has almost no use outside of it’s original purpose.
I propose 3-5k pcs Temporal Fragment and 100-300 pcs Curse Eroded Gemstone is used in crafting. The amount depends on the number of the craftable item needed per character that uses them.
Why is this a good idea?
Help instance farmers to get more zeny from usually discarded materials.
What risks or downsides does it have?
None that I can think of.
Additional Info:
None.

What do you mean when you say crafting? Costume Crafting? Gear Grafting? If the latter, which gear?
In general, I would want to stay away from instance materials as material for new gears or costumes since personally I don’t think creating a bunch of alt characters and running instances is very enjoyable for most of the player base. We can see that with the outcry from HoL gear making people run instances like OGH and OGHC.
If it’s used as an option to get OGHC or FOGH gear then I’d be less against this.

@Choi Gear crafting ofc. Nothing specific in mind, cause not my place to decide. Even if it’s not enjoyable, it’s already something that is currently playerbase HAVE to do cause of new content already forces players to farm both instances anw. So I don’t see any problem with adding more value to generally seen as ‘useless’ mats outside of their very limited original intended usage.

@Choi
But we see the positive effects of including “easy” instance materials as a requirement for an endgame gear, it provides new players with an avenue of zeny farming that is not worth the time farming for geared players but valuable for them since they cant compete on the endgame farm, inside an instance with no competition with other players.
I even checked and there is no outcry that comes with HoL gears requiring old instance mats, I searched for the keyword in discord and found nothing, there is virtually no pushback against this feature.
Running instance is not enjoyable is not a common thought, in fact if you searched discord once again the main complain is field farming, people complaining about temple/nif2 because it’s boring and it’s hard to compete with mage classes aoe.
While inside instance there is no competition, there is no inherent disadvantage of no big AoE, even a focus on single target for once.If we don’t push instance farming up then the only viable farming zones will be on the field, which in my opinion is not healthy in the long run.
Take a look at our server class statistics, the top 5 classes are:
1. Cardinal (alts of course)
2. Arch Mage (AOE mage)
3. Biolo (AOE doping geffenia machine)
4. Elemental Master (AOE mage)
5. Wind Hawk (great class tbh, newbie multipurpose AOE with gale storm and good single target)
You see the pattern? is it healthy for a single playstyle to dominate the game because the alternatives are far worse (if you’re not end game geared, its aoe or bust)

This thread was the thread i was specifically thinking about https://forum.muhro.eu/d/3468-adjust-the-cost-of-exchange-for-grace-of-spirit but also i was considering general community sentiment at the time when HoL came out.
