Now that the initial fever for unknown fragments has passed, the value of Uknown Meteorite Fragments has decreased to the point where they’re almost worthless (they’ll be soon). Can we have them convert into dust like other fragments?
My suggestion would be to have them convert into 3 random trait powders, or something like that. It sort of fits thematically with the rest of the fragment conversion options.
Let me know what y’all think!

I agree! If not, they will be stocked forever.

That’ll crash the fragment market. Only reason why its flooded: A majority has maxed out their accessories. The fragments are a literal guaranteed reward per person + more from chests on a daily instance.
Instance is already soloable/duoable and the item literally came out weeks ago.
1 unknown frag to 3 random trait powders is too much.

@aewuu
I don’t think that’s the main reason. I can go to CT 7 times (considering one day per week), guaranteeing at least 56 unknown fragments, but I might only get 5-10 of power fragment, for example, because they are random. So, I go another 7 times and guarantee another 56 unknown fragments, but I might only get another 5-10 of power. And again, 56 fragments and 5-10 of power. The amount of stored unknown fragments is disproportionate to the amount of power fragments. And the amount of unkown fragments required to level up the enchantment doesn’t consume the amount that will be stored, losing its usefulness. (people don’t buy it anymore because of this ^)
I didn’t buy any spell/agile/stamina fragment but I already sold (in the past, not anymore) all my unkowns because it’s not worthy to keep.
Maybe 1 > 3 is too much but we can work on something else then

Powders and fragments was not a problem, and never was. On average, I get 30 of pure status fragments daily.
Between myself, and my group, we have hoarded thousands of the unknown frags. That’s just one group. Now collectively as a server that would introduce X number of powders, and leading us to the same situation with the unknown frags.
While I do recognize that the green frags are losing their usage (people are maxing out and the content is done daily/repeated), perhaps alternatively; green frags to be exchanged to one of the 3 select costumes from betel.
1 > 3 is too high, and if everyone is adamant about the exchange, an appropriate numbers needs to chosen for it be proportionate.
1 full party introduces ~96 (or more from chests) fragments per instances
There are many “worthless” items from instances (ie: Temporal Fragments [25867]: There are literally thousands of these) but why should CT have special attention specifically? CT is already a money printing instances with a daily cd, and alts.

-1, CT loot is still BiS in the game and for the first time in months it feels like there’s a farmable piece of content with a stable economy attached to it.
This would affect HoL content as well as it uses CT ingredients iirc.

I’m ok too, but the only reason to run CT now is for trait fragments. This means I only run CT in groups of 3 people now, since that’s the way to maximize fragments.
I don’t know why you say there’s a lack of farmable content with stable economy attached to it, since there’s plenty of that imo… BBs, BSBs, stuff from D2, amethyst fragments to some smaller degree…
If not trait powders, at least some use should be found for unknown fragments imo, instead of being left to rot in inventories.

Or maybe use the unknown fragments for crafting the upcoming time gap weapons or 4th Class Skill shadow crafting to increase the value a bit?

use it for skipping floors

@Sagii I really like this idea, CT is fun but waiting 30 minutes for trashmobs to die puts the party to sleep.
It’d be a nice use case for the unknown fragments

@Akin I like this,
don’t like the skipping floors tho

Why not both for skipping and also for crafting new weapons? Both worlds win.

Agree to this since the price prediction aged well lol. Unknown fragments are pretty worthless right now and funny to see how the normal frags are more expensive when you yield more of these per run vs unknowns (especially if you count alts).
