What was the reasoning for making the set a 100% chance drop item in LoF? Farming zeny is already easy enough. Getting to endgame is already easy enough.
Quite a number of people are getting bored because they complete things too fast and then go on hiatus, so just curious why things are all being made even easier to complete.

@dabu13
there are also quite a few people who quit because some things are too difficult — like the chances to get the “right” boss at LoF, the enchanting system, or the grade system without a pity mechanic
sometimes, it’s just a matter of perspective — what you think is easy or how you farm to get your gear (whether it’s using alts, farming zeny to buy it, or gathering the materials to craft it yourself, etc.)

@dabu13 it was the instance with the most problematic feedback for a while now. For some it might be a too generous change, but removing a major pain point while giving an incentive to create parties is what I saw here.
And it’s just one part of the journey creating these equips.

@Dovezin yeah! totally agree! I mean i don’t really mind the change, was just curious as I think u dont even really need the enchants or mant to do most endgame content (I was super late to getting it! first enchant still level 1 :<), so from my point of view, the enchants were min/maxing time fillers xD

@Muh Thank you! Yeah i knew a lot of people hated that instance! Thanks for giving me insight!

Wait, only with few mates on party, but if i love farm solo, i cant got this mats?

@Pipo you can go solo, that’s no problem. It just doesn’t hurt to go in party

@Muh Thanks a lot for answer, okay (:

Overall a good patch for the majority of the server. For some minority (me included) its maybe a bit to much, Muh describes it very well as “might be a too generous change”.
It supports party play
It supports new players
It will bring back ppl which quit just because of HoL enchant

@Reeen respectfully disgree. Theres no party play. All I see is endgame players with armies of alts asking for leech.. Supports being in a party, 100%, but party play, def not.

Ngl, not a fan of the lof change, not because of the impact on the market but it’s a mechanism that can be easily abused and exploited. Been with different RO private servers that implemented similar reward system and it never went well. Whether it’s increase of leech-related drama on chat or banning players for how creative they can be just to cheat the system, at the end of all the chaos, the reward system was modified one way or another.
I also agree something needed to be done to reduce the difficulty for players to acquire hol gears, but would prefer implementing something along the lines of lowering the # of required craft mats, increase mat drop rates, or an npc/option to allow players to choose which dungeon boss to challenge. Basically anything other then this current system which rewards players for doing absolutely NOTHING (join a party > enter instance > wait at starting point > collect the reward), even CT parties requires more work/effort.
Anyways, just my $0.02

@dadalin212 Feel free to elaborate your concerns regarding cheating and abusing here or in private. I’d appreciate it. There’s one thing that will be added to avoid one case I have in mind for sure. There are instances that require party members to do more and some less, that’s true.

@Muh If the intention was to promote party play, then maybe LoF isn’t the best argument but if the real intention is to make rewards easier to keep mid-tier players from quitting, then I can believe it. Like what Dabu is saying, the reality of the situation is people are still going to solo this instance and won’t give your intended result.

@fishie90 It’s not that you have to go in party, but if you like to run with a friend or your friends, it won’t be “punished” as it was kinda before.

@Muh This would be a true statement if the reward system didn’t give guaranteed sets.

I honestly am not sure how I feel about the guaranteed drop change. The part of me that’s gathering mats is happy, I suppose. But the market price on sets has already gone down noticeably. I want to promote party play and prevent people from quitting due to difficulty, so ultimately I do think this change is good in that respect. Though, personally I think it should be difficult to obtain this gear.. Maybe a random 2 pieces of the set instead of the full set? Just my opinion, though.

Yesterday I did Lof for the 1st time after the change.. and I was really happy, at the same time very sad: happy because I will finally enchant my summer garmet without spending billions or taking a century to collect all the items and sad because I already spent billions on the winter garmet at the time when a set cost 30m +.. The change was very good in general, but honestly it could have been like that from the beginning

Thank you. You need many material from lake of fire so this is helpful. Id rather have the option to just choose the boss I need or offer a 1:1 swap.
