Big W patch, thank you.

First of all, I would like to thank you for this patch and congratulate you on your great work, Muh.

However, I cannot help but express my total disapproval of the change to NIF 2.

When the server started, BBs were dropped with a 5% chance. Older players were gorging themselves on so many BBs and MVP card drops. Then there was an update and it went to 1.27% and now another update to 0.92%. How far are we going to go?

I think this decision is not based on your will. You are letting yourself be carried away by people who have already obtained all their MVP cards and want the branches to be nerfed so that their own MVP cards can finally be valued. It is clear that this is why older and veteran players do not like the idea of BBs with a high percentage.
I don’t want to have the experience of an official server.. MUH has become a point of satisfaction with an excellent pastime.. but if it becomes difficult it will lose its charm and people will simply abandon the server in search of something less laborious.

A group of 5 or 6 people close to you cannot influence you to make decisions that can affect everyone in this way.

It is already difficult to drop MVP cards.. and with less BB on the market it will be even more difficult.
Nothing more for now, it was just a brief rant.
Thank you for your time

@coffee Thank you for your concerns, but you seem to have wrong assumptions.

The drop rate of BB never was anywhere near 5%.
When Nif-Dungeon was implemented, the drop rate was 0.44%.
We then increased it to 1.82%.
Later we reduced it to 1.07% but at the same time introduced Timbers dropping BBs at 1.21% and at the more or less same time we increased monster densities in these areas.

And now with nif dun 2 producing more zeny due to the recent patches, the gain of BBs is just too much in there. This should not be the main place to farm BBs.
That being said, your other wrong assumption is that I have talked/discussed this with anyone in the past months or even past year. It’s just me thinking the dungeons should have a little balance depending on difficulty. So if you are after BBs your target should be Mjolnir for now. If you are after zeny, Nif Dun is still a very good place.

When I first read Coffee’s text, I wanted to agree with him and share his opinion. But now that I’ve read Muh’s statement, I can understand the change. It wasn’t until I read the patch notes that I thought it was inappropriate. But thanks to Muh’s statement, I now fully understand why he reduced the drop rate. I also now think that the drop rate is still too high. Because BBs have to be worth more than just the paltry 1.2 million Zeny, they used to be worth over 30 million. Thanks Muh, I completely agree with you. It’s just a statement from me.

@Muh Well, I wasn’t here when the server started… but some colleagues told me it was 5% so they were mistaken. Maybe they said this because using BBG the branches went from 1.82x100% = 3.64%. *(which is close to 5%)

About my supposed idea that you talked about the subject with close players, yes, you are right and an assumption based on pure guesswork. But I believe that some of your decisions are based on opinions given on the forum, I wouldn’t like this to become a democracy. I hope that MUH RO continues to be a monarchy whose King is called MUH and the Queen Ice Cold.

where the decisions that affect everyone are made solely by the Royal Family.

Anyway, sorry for the misunderstanding. Good job GM MUH

Nif02 is my default go-to farming spot, so I’m supposed to dislike any nerfs to it, right?

Let me tell you, it was really needed. Even after the NPC price adjustment hotfix, the income is still pretty good and the adjustment of BB droprate seems very minor here. I haven’t tested after today’s patch yet, but I fully expect overall income to still be noticably better overall than it was before the recent patches (and it was never “bad” to begin with).

I do sympathize a bit with your point about newer players not being able to benefit from BB droprates as much as older players were able to, but I think Muh’s argument about Mjolnir is pretty fair. Now it’s up to the player if they’d rather have more unconditional zeny gains with a bit lesser BB, or vice-versa.

Hi Mr Muh was wondering about the Rigel effects, Does Maximum Mammoth Shadow Gear Set not help to prevent knockback from the explosions? It seemed to have changed from previous patch unless im missing something. (was working well the prev patch)

@Meatbaals it’s the pull mechanic that doesn’t get ignored

Considering everyone used drop % gears, the drop rate was about 4% back then. The fact still remains older players benefitted massively.
I don’t care about BB farming but I do surely care about people making it seem there wasn’t that much of an advantage before.

@LAC It’s another case of “if you werent there to enjoy/exploit it” you are out of luck

same thing with the illusion refine boxes drop

Many such cases
