Move npc KKat out of depth2

Description:
The time gap weapon crafting npc is currently in depth2 which needs reputation to enter. You can acquire the mats but be unable to craft the item. The same issue exists for the TDRC also. So generally people ask other players who graciously craft it for them with the mats. (<3 player base)

Then the question is : why lock these two in the first place? Let players be able to craft them if they have the mats without having to bother other players?

Why is this a good idea?
Easier crafting of required equipment.

What risks or downsides does it have?
Lesser interaction with other players. I cannot think of anything else.

These weapons are meant as end-game rewards for players capable of clearing the content, just like the crowns and the dimension weapons.

Access to these weapons and their enchantments is an added incentive for players to visit D1 & D2 and increase their reputation. More players farming in D2 → more supply of runes on the market.

Currently, runes are very expensive and they’re not going to get cheaper if no one who wants to use those runes to make TG weapons also wants to farm for them in D2.

So the big downsides you didn’t think about are 1) the effect on player activity in D1 & D2, and 2) the effect on the market.

Don’t remove incentives for players to visit non-instanced locations.

People still get their crowns and weapons crafted without even reaching Biosphere. No one is asking for the material cost to be lowered. The crown and time gap weapon will still use materials from the non instanced zones. Farming them will still be valuable. There will be no impact on the market or player activity in D1 and D2. Infact I would argue that now that the new players have better equipment they can enter these places as well and increase activity.

The only thing changing is whether the player crafted it themself( AKA talked to an NPC) or another player helped them.

@AcidMembrane

I’m with you on this one. I can’t enchant my TDRC or get the new weps until I get enough rep to even go to D2. These gears are end of game gears, providing easier access to them is counterintuitive.

@KaptainPickles

But you are ok with people trading dimensional weapons? They are the same Rank of weapons - both end game, but considerably easier to get. Even to +12A.

That is more counterintuitive.

@Schuuuubiiii

Why? Just because?

GMs, Lets close this suggestion. It looks like I am in a minority. We discussed this on discord as well and generally people do not want the NPC moved though I do not understand why. But we need to listen to the majority ^^

For review the reasons stated by others seems to

  1. Time gap is new, so it needs to be tough to make. Or atleast tougher than dimensional weapons.
  2. Lesser player to player interaction if easier
  3. That people might skip D1 and D2 rep. (I disagree here as we need D2 rep anyway to enchant my stuff.)
  4. Just because.

@yurizeta buddy , don’t worry, there are other people who share your idea. A few don’t, and they don’t decide anything here… in the end, the one who controls things on this server is the muh himself. Just wait.

@yurizeta As coffee mentioned, got suggestions that has almost entirely negative response got accepted and vice versa. People just love to argue and be in opposition of something even if it has like zero negative impact on them solely because of ‘I just don’t like it’. From my experience just leave your suggestion, give your counter argument if needed and not be too heated up over it.

For me, I’m neutral on this suggestion. As Depth 2 is basically a walk in the park for those at endgame. But it would be less of a hassle or those who aren’t.

If the gear is tradeable with no barriers, the npc to craft and enchant them should be too.

So +1

(I can enter D2 already, got max rep and also do the enchants/crafting for others)

@hayatow yep, we have fashion paradise and it’s amazing for browsing costume, equip enhancement for refine/grade, why not one for craft?

As much as i like the NPC being inside Depth 2, i can’t understand what harm would it to have it on chess, like the others NPCs.

@farrize there is a map for that already, and almost all NPCs are there. A few still missing.
