More Zelunium farming spots

Since the reduction of the items in previous patch, it’s more difficult now to farm zelunium.

Before zelunium ore used to be dropped by more monsters so it was a bit easier to collect those to also help out.
However, it seems that now it’s much harder to farm it and with the main spots always full of players making it increasingly hard.
I suggest increasing the monsters or rate drop of zelunium.

Maybe making Bio monsters drop more zelunium would already help.

Can you explain what made farming zelunium harder? There were no changes at all regarding Zelunium.

Not changes to zelunium specific, but more monsters used to drop zelunium ore which can exchange for zelunium.
Zelunium spots are few now for the amount of players in my opinion. So i think it would be beneficial to either add zelunium ore to more monsters or add zelunium drops to more monsters.

@adonist Again, why do you think more monsters used to drop zelunium? We didn’t take away any Zelunium drops - that’s what I wanted to say.

@adonist If we’re talking about farming zelunium specifically. Ami2 mobs has the 2nd highest drop chance of zelunium (niff2 being 1st) from field mobs but its 99% empty even though it’s mob density is very high. I personally dont see how farming it would be a problem.

@Muh i think zelunium ore was taken out .. it used to be drop from more monsters (i think in snake for instance they used to drop) not zelunium itself.

@Miori well, that’s 2 maps lol I still think it should be dropped from more mobs in more locations. Like i said, maybe improve the drop in Bio A and B would be a good start

Bio A and B are already such a good place to farm in terms of raw zeny that place yields a lot. Not to mention you could sell/use all the stones/essences/runes.

I think the problem is more that nif2 is abundant with drops that is valuable like zelunium, shadowdecon, etel dust, and Bloody branch. And the fact that it is still one of the best spot to farm the zelunium, shadowdecon, and etel dust beside BB.
Nif 2 right now is used for those that:
- Person trying to farm Bloody branch with shadowdecon/zelunium being a bonus
- Person trying to farm shadowdecon/zelunium with BB being a bonus

Before the ctb mob reduction patch (thanks kro /s), there was some people that actually farm that place for the shadowdecon/zelunium even without BB being dropped there but after the patch nif2 is better place to farm. There is no zelunium/shadowdecon drop rate nerf here but the mob density is reduced.

For other farming place like ami2 for example might have second best drop rate than nif2 but it is still second best and not the best one (which is still nif2 mob).

Mjolnir BB drop rate is a bit better than nif 2 but the mob there hits much harder compared to nif2 (with magic spamming and ignition break shenanigans) and the other drop is not as valuable as nif2 which makes the slight boost drop rate in BB is not worth it.

But this is like imo maybe there’s sekrit spot that we might not know

Also this is just talking about zelunium/shadowdecon. For zeny gain there is option just like what aewuu said like biosphere A/B, varmundt depths, geffenia (we never really move on from mastela farming)

@[deleted] that’s a very good point. I think nilf2 has a lot of good drops so farming there is popular for people, whilst other places might be better for one thing or another, the rest of the secondary drops are not as useful.
