@sakura +1. Makes thematic sense too.
Wrath of polluted agni = Wrath of polluted spirit + fire element! Damn smooth

I’d rather have them remain junk items so I don’t need to go through the chore of visiting an npc to turn useless items into useful ones.
If pollution droprates are a concern then just increase the drop chance of pollution items dropping.
-1 from me, feels like unnecessary busy work.

At least give them an NPC Sell Price. Right now they are 0 zeny.

@CongaLyne The drop rate is really good now to be honest, you’d get about 600-1k Polluted per BBG depending on the crowdedness but its a waste for it to be left on the ground. Soon you don’t even autoloot the Polluted Spirit anymore when you reach 30k in your storage. The suggestion is to make them more useful since previously they have 0 uses and the more recent patch made them into cost for season beast material exchange, even with that change, people are not looting those (crystal / gem).
Another thing to point out, for some season Manteau we can’t fully benefit from farming a single contaminate zone and have to do rotation.
Spring - Wind / Earth (Ventus zone2 + Terra zone1)
Summer - Fire / Water (Agni zone1 + Aqua zone2)
Autumn - Fire / Earth (Agni zone1 + Terra zone1)
Winter - Water / Wind (Aqua zone2 + Ventus zone2)

@sakura This is my point, I don’t see why they need to be useful if the droprates are already good.
If the junk items are given are given a good use (ie turning them intro desirable polluted items) then you’d be required to autoloot them and turn them into polluted spirits to have maximum farming gains.
I don’t want to need to loot 8 new items into my inventory that look and sound similar to each other and other items the mobs drop, that sounds like a major hassle and I don’t see why it’d be necessary to implement.
I’d rather junk items just stay junk items so I don’t need to nervously shuffle through my inventory trying to count them after each session to load them into an npc to turn them into useful items; when I could just farm the useful items directly.
By making them important crafting ingredients, they become mandatory items to loot and hassle with.
This is why I mentioned increasing the drop rate, if you want more polluted spirits from the dungeon then increasing the drop rate would have the same outcome as this suggestion but without the looting & npc hassle.

@CongaLyne To be fair, you only need to loot the element that you want to make. Example Autumn manteau required Fire / Earth, so just extra 4. This would just fasten the farming process and since enchanting manteau involve RnG. Trust me, the amount needed to fully enchant a manteau is A LOT. And i respect your decision of not wanting to loot other stuff so from our conversation, im just taking your suggestion for increase drop chance.

This is a great suggestion for giving Polluted Spirits a more meaningful use! Right now, they’re essentially clogging up storage for many players. Your idea to combine them with Land Crystals and Leaf Gems to create “Wrath Polluted” versions is clever and addresses a real problem.
Here’s a breakdown of why this is a good idea and some points to consider:
Why this is a good suggestion:
-
Solves a storage problem: It directly tackles the issue of players having an overabundance of Polluted Spirits.
-
Adds value to existing resources: It utilizes Land Crystals and Leaf Gems, which are also readily available, creating a useful sink for these items as well.
-
Creates a new crafting path: This provides players with a new goal and something to work towards. Crafting the Wrath Polluted versions could be tied to new content, like stronger monsters or enhanced gear.
-
Balances resource acquisition: It encourages players to continue farming in the Forgotten Time Zones, as they’ll now have a reason to collect Polluted Spirits.
-
The “Wrath” naming convention is thematic: It fits well within the game’s existing lore and naming conventions.
Points to consider for implementation:
-
Balance the crafting cost: As you mentioned, the cost of 5 of each material is a good starting point, but it will need careful balancing. Too cheap, and everyone will have tons of Wrath Polluted versions, devaluing them. Too expensive, and it won’t be worth the effort. Consider the drop rates of the materials and the power of the resulting item.
-
Determine the use of Wrath Polluted versions: What will these new items be used for? Some possibilities include:
-
Crafting stronger gear: This is a natural fit, allowing players to upgrade their equipment.
-
Summoning challenging bosses: These bosses could drop rare and valuable rewards.
-
Enhancing existing skills or abilities: This could provide a new layer of character progression.
-
Trading for other valuable resources: This would create a market for the Wrath Polluted versions.
-
Introduce the crafting recipe in a logical way: Perhaps through a quest, a new NPC, or a recipe scroll.
-
Consider different tiers of Wrath Polluted versions: Perhaps combining different levels of Polluted Spirits, Land Crystals, and Leaf Gems could create different tiers of Wrath Polluted versions with varying uses and power.
-
Test the implementation thoroughly: Before releasing this change, it’s crucial to test it to ensure that it’s balanced and doesn’t create any unintended consequences.
Overall, this is a well-thought-out suggestion that has the potential to significantly improve the game. By addressing the Polluted Spirit problem and adding a new crafting path, it can provide players with a more engaging and rewarding experience.

Maybe we could use the Time dimensional Crystal from the Lake of Fire Instance too?
Like use 5 Time Dimensional Crystal to reset the daily Instance cool down and 10/15 to choose the Boss you want to Fight?
Right now I got 298383 Keys for Rigel which I dont Need and 282882 Time Dimensional Crystal xD

Time dimensional crystal won’t make thematic sense from what Sakura is suggesting. Your other 2 sentences are also different from the discussion - could open up a new forum suggestion if you want those added

Well in my eyes giving it zeny value for the Npc should be enough.
Maybe it could be used for futures Time Gap weapons or something similiar? I dunno.
