Improve CT party play

Title:
Improve party play for Constellation Tower instance.

Description:
As of now, lots of people prefer to farm CT alone with their double logins, but what if there was an incentive to play it with others?
Instead of making the current meta worse, i propose giving a fixed reward per single master account when completing the instance, based of the amount of master accounts in the party (and in the map).

Exemple:

1 Master Account: Current reward.

2-3 Master Accounts:

4+ Master Accounts:

This would help not only improve party play for this instance but also bypass some of the RNG rewards that can sometimes be frustrating.
I’m not proposing any exact number since it already scales with difficulty, but the idea should be give some extra materials per master account when claiming rewards talking to Betel.

Why is this a good idea?
Getting extra rewards for playing an online game with other people seems a good idea to me!

What risks or downsides does it have?
More CT materials maybe would lower the price, but that’s all the cons i can think of, since people who run the instance would still be able to decide to keep on doing so alone and getting the same as of now, or share with others for a bit of an increased reward.

Additional Info:
Chest rewards would be untouched.

Finally a suggestion that encourage party play and doesnt make everyone life harder. +1

I can’t agree to this personally.

This would still devalue frags too much imo, which is already falling quickly due to HOL gears being powerful, allowing easier access. The server is already too incentivised towards field farming as a result of cash shop items (BSB, shadowgear and BB basically) being tied to them (and none in instances) and CT is the premier for instance farming. If frags become so freely available (and therefore bloody cheap) then you’re gonna see an even heavier emphasis on just mages for field farming. It’s going to be very boring this way.

Is this limited to once a day, or as many as you can run in a day?

@aewuu Current rewards (Unknown Meteorite Fragments) are per run per master account, so my suggestion should be per run as well.

@Crosscy I don’t see the problem to encourage party play, and therefore, share the final chest rewards by giving some small fixed extra. If someone wants to run the instance solo 15 times a day they could do so with the same exact rewards as of now.
That plus even if you find a party of 4+ (suggestion, not final) to get “full rewards”, you should repeat the instance 15 times with those 4+ real other players and share the final loot (supposedly) and not even then it would be as profitable.

People keep insisting on this group play thing as if it were something they were begging for… the number of people who prefer to do content in groups is very small, people just want to farm their zeny in peace without having to share their effort with 10, 12 people… for me this was a terrible idea.

A lot of people play this game for nostalgia. Old RO was built on parties. Encouraging party based rewards without affecting solo players shouldn’t be discouraged.

Just keep doing what you do. The rest of us can create parties with real people and enjoy the game even more. :victory_hand:t3:

@coffee okay then don’t participate in party play. I don’t see the issue on encouraging party play.

@Maikoa Yes, there is no problem at all. The problem is that people prefer to farm solo 80% of the time. And that’s what happens in CT. I hardly see people recruiting in #lfg CT tower need members. What I see are people farming with duo and alone. There’s no point in going against that, it’s a FACT.

@coffee no one asked your opinion about party play btw and what you’re stating here can be facts but it’s going against the point on the suggestion. An actual professional yapper, no one asked your opinion on party play but you had to butt in lmao

@Maikoa Calm down princess, don’t you want to read something you don’t agree with? Then you shouldn’t enter a forum where people argue and express their opinions and ideas freely. As far as I know, the forum exists for this reason. You are not the owner of this forum, nor do you have the right to tell me that I can’t freely express my opinion on a post that I don’t agree with. If you are bothered because someone doesn’t say what you wanted to read, just ignore it, that’s the best thing to do.

@coffee Well, that is precisely why i made a suggestion like this, to give something to promote party play for this instance WITHOUT changing anything for solo/duo players players.

I think i have emphasized enough that this suggestion would not affect the current meta and it’s only meant to give some small extra rewards to promote parties.
Kind of similar like bonus drop % on parties and people running “reputation runs” on depth 1.

PD: Please ya’ll keep it civil :folded_hands:

btw, I like the suggestion +1

I’d like to be on @“coffee”#668 side with this. All party buffs should be just for exp/jexp. You just suggest this to improve income of your party and even more, you suggest to widening the reward to the whole.
-1 from me

Uh, to be honest, I don’t think that CT needs to be further improved in terms of party play because it is still difficult unless you have the new HoL gears. It will only hurt the economy of the fragment rewards furthermore, and I don’t think there’s merit for it to be done in a full party of 12 people because the mechanic of the instance itself will benefit the party with fewer members.

Maybe try to suggest creating a new custom version of CT, which is so challenging that it is advisable to do it with a big group of players or a party. Then, as for the rewards, it could be costume-crafting related materials (anything that will give the players the reason to do a very hard version of the CT we have right now). Well, for me, it’s up to the management on how they reward the players who will do that version of CT.

So I do -1 for this, but I’m +1 if a new version of CT will force us to do party plays and weird mechanics.
Have a good day, everyone.

+1 I think its a good idea, because it just a small buff to party play and doesnt make everyone life harder , solo runners can keep doing solo (keeping all their loot) and party players can recibe some secure mats that can be used to craft their owns stuff , i think we already have something similar with the buff when you party farm and with instance when you recibe antiquity.

I’d like a balancing to this proposal instead of accepting/declining it.

My balance is, if the proposal is ever to be accepted, at the same time CT have to be buffed as well. The reasons are:

  1. From the proposed bonus rewards of materials, it means there will be increased supply, like it or not. So to counteract that, somehow the supply must be chocked as well. Now we can call it fair
  2. People can solo it it’s not their fault if the instance is too ez (soloists). But also people that wants party play for the sake of party play. It can’t be too ez either or it will not be memorable for the memories sake(party goers). Now let’s make these 2 different species need each other: the soloist can’t solo them anymore cuz it’s getting harder so they need more of outsider help, and the party goers can’t just let too undergeared people gets into the party and may LFM some of the harder players. Now we can call it harmonization
