Implement Relic System from Project Return to Morroc (MVP system revamp)

On Project return to Morroc the mvp system worked the following way:

-All mobs from the area had a low chance (0.1%) of dropping a relic. This relic was a consumable specific to that mvp and could only be used on the place the mvp usually spawns.
-This Relic, when used, spawned the mvp at the place the user was at (even if the mvp was alive) and displayed how long for the MVP to naturally respawn.
-When killed, MVPs could drop: Costumes special to them, MVP Prize Boxes, normal mvp loot.
-MVP Prize Box was a consumable that gave one of the following: MVP Shard (Crafting material), ores (Normal, enhanced, HD). The odds of an MVP Prize Box dropping were better the harder the MVP was considered. Low level mvps had low odds of dropping those while high level ones could even have 100% drop rate ( The hardest one was 100%. Would be akin to our CT, but like twice harder)
-MVP Shards are a crafting material that was used to craft/reform certain items. Alternatively it could be traded in a store for Ores, Pets, Costumes etc.
-There were no Bloody Branches.
-MVP Cards had 3% chance of spawning in there (but there was no Bubblegum, only drop rate gear.)
-There was no tombstone.
-MVP warding (leaving your alt in the map to keep track of the mvp) wasn’t allowed.
-Logging off on an MVP map warped the player to their save point.
-MVP Respawn timer greatly reduced (No more 12 hour mvps).

Personal opinions time:
I am proposing that we could implement a somewhat similar system, taking parts if not all of it (adjusting the odds of things like cards etc) so that mvp hunting in here was more engaging and involved actually playing the game and hunting mvps in the map instead of devolving into who has more money to buy the most bloody branches. Right now MVP is accessible, which is good, but it is extremely restricted by brute forcing the most money possible into getting it. People just farm Bloody Branches forever and pop them all while using HE bubblegum and that just isn’t an engaging mechanic.
So I’d like to show how it worked in that other server and ask for other people how they felt about this gameplay change and if they would find it enjoyable making mvp hunting a thing again and greatly boosting it’s odds so that it was something doable for more people.

Also, if someone comes whining about market and mvp card prices and bloody branch prices I’ll fucking slap them.

This change would’ve been nice if branches were never farmable in the first place, you would just put later players at a disadvantage, because they won’t be able to farm MVPs like the veterans did.

@Aqua Could you explain to me your reasoning?

aka popping 1k branches to brute force an mvp card

@Aqua Being considerate with newer players is probably really important, as if anyone found out about this, they would immediately leave.

Return to Morroc is an oddity, and implementing anything that person made, would probably require an overhaul of changes to go along with it.

I like the suggestion though. We do need some other reason to farm MVPs. I think perhaps creating an enhanced version of all of our known MVPs, which provide higher drop rates of the cards and items, but would require groups to actually defeat. (no matter what). It might actually get people out of nif2, and into the fray

We don’t see this suggestion fitting our server. I’m closing this suggestion, but feel free to post opinions in this suggestion: https://forum.muhro.eu/d/2199-changes-to-field-mvping
