It would be nice to see the happy hour status being printed after login just like Happy Maid gives it, but in the chat window. Alternatives would be an atcommand or the possibility to whisper Happy Maid but I’d personally prefer the first option.

Example: 2 random fields, one Illusion Dungeon, one 200-250 standard dungeon, and one Varmundt related.
Will that work? That’s I’m noticing from the choices so far.

All for it.
That’d allow some of the less used maps to see some activity while making sure it is still somehow worthwile.

@Randomced859 if we did this, who would actually go to a random field?
Any stronger players would go to the 200+ dungeon, any weaker player would go to the illusion dungeon.
All other fields would be ingored. (other options would be considered by a minority that can’t handle the “better” options only)

Hmm… If all cannot be specified on all three. Maybe at least one random specific category + 4 random fields. My only problem with this is people skipping this because of bad pool and have to wait a lot of hours to go for Happy Hour. Not everyone plays whole day just to wait for Happy Hour.

@Muh I like your idea about enjoying new maps. But, people are skipping all fields map or low level dungeon because benefits too low. I think we have some ways to improve it:
- Add necessary mats (Zelunium, Shadowdecon) to additional drop with low rate (maybe 1-2%) during happy hour in all happy hour because we can resolve poor drops in low level map
- Set base zeny happy hour map equal lv200 dungeons. Because no one wants to jump a farming map and get <10m in 1 hour

I’d also suggest adding navi links to the list of maps for Happy Maid and login status.

@Muh I mean, technically, stronger players would never go to a less profitable/interesting map than what they already have access to anyway, would they?
The concept needs some more tweaking but I like the idea of breaking it into categories.
It’d virtually allows everyone to have something to eat.

@Kamagic changing / improving the benefits so any map can be attractive sounds more appealing to me

I like the idea of Navi links. I also want to add that if the desire is to get people onto rarely accessed maps, it would be a good idea to allow players to warp to the map with the Navi window without the use of nyangvine or world tour tickets, or to add the happy hour maps to the warper?

@Choi I actually didn’t suggest a warp because for me it wasnt a big deal to just follow the navi for this event.
But i am also not against it.
I think the easiest way to add warps is by adding a select to the happy hour npc which warps to a random location on the selected map. The warper is quite a complicated script already

just make sure no unintended or illegal maps are in the pool

Personally to me happy hour should just boost the rates of drops in older maps for a while to make them an alternative to farming from the usual maps, such as increasing their drops rates or adding generic drops to the global drop table for a while. When popular, current maps are on happy hour, the maps are just even more desirable and the intensity of people farming there increases a lot - there’s always people doing illusion dungeons and biosphere and when those are on the happy hour map pool. They become flooded and awful to play in as everyone is dropping big AoEs that clear the enemies out instantly. If you’re not very well geared or not a big AoE class, you’re basically locked out of participating at times.
This might change if there are multiple good options during happy hour, but usually what happens is the map pool is full of dead fields that no one would ever go to and then one high density map or current level map and the entire server who are currently active flock to it. Or there’s nothing worth visiting so it’s ignored besides from people gambling on getting a random cash shop item even if it’s not efficient to do so. It’s not very interesting.

@RustyCrab something like “@happy” command can be usefull, or even easier just add the information into the “@time” command

We see you and we like most of the things being suggested here. We’re going to adjust this, be sure.

my vote for teleport. Even if it will be paid one. Explore some new maps sounds interesting, but i am to lazy for navi.
