Give damage reduction buff to Sorcerer's spirits

Last friday there was a buff to reduce the damage taken by all 4th class summons (EM, Biolo, Meister) by 90%

But this buff didn’t apply to 3rd job summons.

The summons of sorcerer still retain some utility like ventus FCT/aspd buff in passive mode, movespeed buff in defense, terra HP buff in passive, etc. and it would be very nice if they could get reduced damage too.

Idk if other 2nd/3rd classes would benefit from it but they could be added too.

-1 for the same reasons as usual (custom changes to battle-related skills is unprecedented, for good reason).

Also if we applied it to other 2nd/3rd classes too, that’d mean making homuns 10x tankier, which would be a pretty massive customizaton. Not that buffing EM summons is that different, given how strong the spirit buffs are.

@jinbou personally I dont agree with your argument. The EMs tradeoff with the lesser spirits who arent tanky is the huge loss of dmg for the EM.

Compared to the Homus, which are basicly only for buffs anyways these days, the spirits cant get instant ressed because all of them got a somewhat big CD on the skill anyways.

not everything is about dps, in some maps you just want the fct for full drop farm or other buffs for utility. It’d still be a significant buff to the class

If this gets accepted and approved, it’s something that EM players will appreciate, but if rejected it’s also not a huge loss or disadvantage for the class and most won’t be dismayed.

Right now, I would say EM is in their best shape and form, especially with their spirits’ damage reduction and arrival of their Another Dimensions weapon Elemental Spirits. Huge chunk of their damage comes from the presence of their High Elementals since they allow Elemental Buster autocast/cast, increasing their puddle skill’s base MAtk%, and even raising its SPL ratio to either x7 or x10. For instance, the spirits can now withstand Earthquakes, Comets, and even Betel’s Tetra Vortex no problem, specifically if EMs pair the damage reduction with their high end tank gears to summon them; this allows EMs to not die and then effortlessly solo 25 Stars Betel with no tank and buff slaves like Cardinal. They can place their spirits on Offensive Mode to gain the aggro. On top of that, they now have consistent DPS due to their spirits not dying anymore—so much so that an EM who understands the class and knows how to properly rotate, cycle, and sequence their skills in the correct order and manner steals MVPs against equally endgame geared magical classes in ToT’s magic floors. All that being said, it was the correct choice of Gravity to buff the spirits, and even more grateful that Muh brought it early to the server because the spirits being frail before posed problems for the class.

On the other hand, the Sorcerer spirits also have unparalleled utility for the class but they are really only ever used for low to mid game dungeons and not for endgame ones. The suggested budget tank gears in the wiki will suffice to let them survive in those fields, and it just takes a couple of several seconds to swap to your tank gears then resummon them so they can be tanky enough to survive a few monster hits. Any EM player who do all of these things in practice won’t encounter major problems with regards to the Sorcerer summons dying early and even more so for their High Elementals.

-1 We should just follow kRO when it comes to balance. Changing battle skills can create too many slippery slopes.
If kRO make this change, then sure, you could bring this to the server on the next day and it wouldn’t be an issue.
