Description:
I suggest all levels of rdw below level 5 (rdw5) to drop random box type so people that don’t go in group won’t be gatekept by pitch black materials that is only dropped by high level rdw (rdw5, idk if rdw4 drops it too). Current situation is rdw2 immortal magic box only drop azure (100% chance). I think it willl be nice of those levels have chances to drop pitch black fragment too, even as reduced percentage (can be less than 25% (at 25%, equal chances to drop one of any of the 4 box) for that pitch black fragment box/jet black fragment box)
Why is this a good idea?
Avoiding bottleneck of materials for solo player or solo people who don’t have matching schedule for rdw5
What risks or downsides does it have?
unfair to thosE who have accumulated materials or completed their boots

I’m not against that to make it easier if ppl have to run lower lvl RDW even though the instance is fairly easy in the first place if you properly play it.
Also the stuff you want does drop somewhere else (ch1 geffen thingy) as Partyloot by nearly every mob.

Honestly, why do you want those fragments? I have them all in my storage, already finished crown, shoes and weapons and didn’t touch them? Farm the Essence in Gef/Valk is more effective and cheaper than farming those boxes and converting them. I Went for RDW just for more Mana Ring/Root Coins.

@meo0ow i haven’t had a party with same playing time as me the last 2 days but I am able to do low level rdw solo for example case. I think someone somewhere is like this too

As meow said the ones you get from rdw are fragments they you need to turn into illusion stones that will in turn be transformed into frontier stones.
But the npc crafting cost for 1 illusion stone is multiple millions while they are around 300k in market. I was thinking of making a suggestion about reducing the combine price actually.
If you don’t have pitch black stones because you can’t farm geffenia then it’s better to buy them from players than combine the fragments from RDW.
PS : if you can’t find parties then it means you have to make them, I see rdw parties at all times of the day

lowering combine price is a much better suggestion. Geffenia is a far better source for essences and RDW is getting quite worthless imo.

@Crosscy good suggestion but it feels like an easy shortcut. I do buy these mats with this price as a matter of fact. Have no choice because my schedule mostly doesn’t coincide with pubs. Though I think I will try to solo it these days

@hoegenaamd its not too hard to solo now with frontier weaps and world boots getting your dmg up a ton. You can drop garment for DR+guerrero3x and survive spiral pierce/phantom thrust and it’s an ez farm map.

@hoegenaamd I fail to see what that would fix. OK now you can get fragments from other players, but it still costs several millions to transform them into anything useful, while the combined items sell for litterally 1/20th of the combine cost (pitch black illusion stones are actually under 200k in market).

you can solo.. but just not recommended.. cause the droprate is awful for solo ;(
even A small party of 6/8 can get like 1k++ pitch black stones/h, while solo only get about 100+

@hoegenaamd yeah I found that out last week. I still don’t think giving out materials for free is the correct solution though, I’d rather make the mats tradable.

@telu it’s not like for free. My point is:
Instead of “fixed” box like azure at lvl 1 and 2, then azure and sunset at level 3 etc, it would be
1 random box at lvl 1 and 2
2 random box at lvl 3
3 random box at lvl 4
And 4 boxes at lvl 5 (same as currently happening).
The thing is at current setup, any other rdw except for rdw 5 is useless in terms of frags mats because the pitch black bottlenecks it and it would only drops at lvl 5. You will have excess of every other mats assuming you craft things equally as required by both dimensions boots enhancements and rune table
