Let me tell you a story. One day, a young mid-game player decided to enchant his Hero Badge to get int, fs, and dex enchants. This young handsome man @ws’ed enchant ticket and saw it was 270k, relatively cheap. There was plenty in the market, plenty of people selling. So he bought 20 tickets and went to azzam to try his luck. After resetting so many times, he was surprised that the 20 tickets are all gone. He realized he underestimated the amount of tickets needed. He bought 20 more and started again. Still, however, RNGesus was not with him, and he couldn’t get the Dexterity enchant. He bought enchant tickets until he lost count. Until the price of enchant tickets went from 270k to 1.5m. The young man stopped and rage quit, despairing at the fact that he has to do this 2 more times with other pieces of gear. He remembers enchanting his gray wolf gear, though expensive to choose enchants, it was astronomically more fun to actually play the game and farm than to sit and play pretend-slot machine. Can we just do that instead for all enchantable gear?
Tl;dr. Random enchanting hero badge, young leaf of world tree, varmundt equips, and etc is not fun, can we just have an expensive way to choose an enchant? Thanks.

It’s random, bro, you unlucky, go farm zeny and try again. I myself recently enchanted the given items even though I didn’t need them, for the sake of the test, I had 169 tickets, I spent 23, I got lucky. DM me and I’ll give you a couple.
On topic, I don’t see the problem of system, it works well, farm, spend and pray, everything as we like in our grind game.
I’d like to be able to roll stats on Varmund and Nebula gear without completely resetting enchantments, but I think that’s hard to implement.

idk. rng enjoyer here. as the journey is more fun than reaching end game. I mean, as gambler or trying to be one. You must know when to stop. Stop the gambling, not playing the game.

Good suggestion! I really don’t know why some people like being exploited by gambling mechanics and feel the need to defend it to the death(wait I actually do know), but having a 100% outcome out of your hard work and actions is always much more satisfying.

@Sagii I understand where you are coming from. I just don’t think that “journey” should be clicking boxes until you get what you want. That’s not game play, imo.
Edit: also, if I dont gamble, how else can I get the item I want? That’s my point is to have an alternative system to gambling like with our refinement system with safe tickets

@daze413 I get the point of your suggestion. Lets say this got implemented. From Young leaf to Varmundt and to everything else RNG. With few hours/days of farming you get all the equipment, refine, and enchant you want (and everyone else). Then what is next?

its a good suggestion BUT its bad for the server health overall… we need RNG to keep players playing the game and not just play, make everything in 2 days and leave.

Thanks for the input, guys. I also enjoy grinding, just turning my brain off and holding down F1 while seeing things die is relaxing for me. I just like having a definite goal and feeling of progression. But that’s not what I’m doing in this game anymore. Somehow, for the last 3 days, all I’ve been doing is playing some shitty slot machine. It started with the bio headgear, the varmundt manteau, and now hero badge, I haven’t even tried young leaf yet. (You might be wondering why it’s taking me 3 days, well, I have 14 kids, 5 wives, and 21 pets, I can login for maybe 2 hours every day- which is more than most already! I don’t have the time to keep doing this, I’d rather play something else) Gray wolf enchanting was FINE for me, I enjoyed it because the gameplay was actually farming the Amethyst Fragments, and not just hoping to get lucky.
For everyone saying this will get people to leave after they’ve reached the destination, and that we need the RNG to keep people playing, I’m not too sure about that, do you have any proof that people who have reached endgame have quit? Are more people who reached end-game quitting vs people who are still climbing?

We have enough classes, enough people, enough possibilities of gear, to keep people interested. If people choose to rush it, then it’s their choice to be bored and friendless at the end of the day. I definitely agree that this gambling theme is just a fabrication of content and just spoils your hard earned time and effort. End game is not gear, end game is content, and doing the content. It’s also helping people reach your goals. Once that’s reached, you got pvp and woe, OR, costumes. There is ALWAYS something to do, and RNG is not something I’d prefer to do. It doesn’t make people want to stay, it makes people want to quit.
As mentioned before, what is lacking on this server is some sort of custom content, like those nightmare mode instances suggestion. We have nothing beyond official kro, which is nothing exciting. If people are bored, it’s not because they’re geared, it’s because the game has nothing to offer to fully geared players, but to make a new class, which a lot of people don’t want to do. RNG has nothing to do with people staying behind, and if you believe that, you’re a nut head. Learn to enjoy your time, rather than burning it mindlessly over and over again. It’s insanity after all.

@EvilLumi I agree with what you’re saying, I just found the second sentence there to be overly personal. Please don’t devolve this into some kind of flame war. Even if I don’t agree with some of the takes in the replies here, I don’t have anything against them personally. Sagii has answered my noob questions before so I like them.

Lumi is right.
Trying to hit a balance server health-wise to encourage people to stay is a rightful concern.
But people rushing through the content/farm/gearing is pretty much on themselves.
Do agree with the lack of meaningful content for fully geared players tho.
