Encroached weapon enchants transfer

I think it would be a nice qol change if you could give the enchants of an encroached weapon to a frontier/2nd dim weapon of the same type. You bring an encroached and frontier weapon to an npc and he gives the enchants of the encroached weapon to the frontier weapon, you lose the encroached weapon and the old enchants of the frontier weapon.

Pros :

  • you don’t have to wait until you find the perfect encroached before starting to make your build functional
  • even if you have a very good enchant you can still keep searching for the perfect enchant without having to remake a 12A weapon every time.

Cons :

  • Can’t see any, maybe it would reduce the number of weapons sold in the future if they eventually become tradeable ?

-1, this is a great zeny burner for min-maxers.

But…don’t we have reroll options already? Why transfer enchants between weapons on top of that?

@Eneru reroll lets you get a random enchant on a weapon of choice, with transfer you know which enchants you’re getting

Weak +1 because I think it’s kinda fair.

Dunno what others think let me know in the comments and don’t forget to subscribe

@telu So i understand the suggestion as having a random weapon to keep rerolling until you get the desired enchants and then transfer it to the main weapon.

I’m not sure i like that, so not voting.

@Eneru or keep opening boxes until you get a weapon like yours with better enchants than you have.

It’s true as antiquio says that it will make people sink less zeny in it, but what we have right now is only a solution for people that can afford to throw several hundreds of millions away into remaking the weapon from scratch (and virtually throwing away the old weapon since we can’t trade them). And I have the feeling people who already spent a lot of time and money into getting “good enough” enchants will not spend resources to get 3 more % in their multipliers, but that’s just a personal feeling.

That’s why I say it’s a qol change : it makes life easier and turns getting better enchants into a realistic solution for the majority of the playerbase.

Very good idea imo. It’s too much to expect players to refine/grade duplicates of the same weapon over and over again every time they find a better enchant. There’s enough grind in the game already, we don’t need awkward new mechanics like that to keep the economy healthy, it’s overkill. The transfer could require some fee (e.g. 100m) so that it still burns some zeny, it’d still be much better than the current system where the existing weapon(s) that can cost billions to make becomes trash every time a new encroached with better enchants drops. It’d give more motivation for farming zerocell as well.

+1

+1!

Having to wait to find the perfect enchant before being able to even make the weapon or use the combo is horrible.

I agree. Line enchants are the worst system gravity has created. Am sat here opening 1000s of boxes hoping for my weapon instead of playing the game XD.
