There are some old gears which still need charleston component to make/enchant it. The instance is a very old instance which is very long to do, plus the reward is very low (3 charleston components per run for 25~mins). I’d like to suggest add another way to get the mats like making it dropable from mobs inside the instance at a reasonable rate or increasing the rewards for finishing the instance.
Charleston components are needed to craft and enchant old gears, it can be required to have 300 mats to craft a gear which is very high for the low amount of rewards. Considering the old age gears it provides, it will be nice to discuss about the difficulty of crafting/enchanting these gears.

The angry person above me means this npc. It’s in the main office, just above the daily quest board and below the instance daily quest board. As you can see, you don’t even have to farm charleston to get those items, which is lovely for you, and everyone involved.

This is indeed a good alternative but since it’s an old instance it would be great way to make it “alive” for newcomer/old school players. I rather farm this instance (at a reasonable pace obviously) than farming instance coins with high end instance in order to trade those mats with the NPC.
That’s my opinion, I know pro gamers would calculate the time spent for farming those mats vs instance coin and make the call based on efficiency. People enjoy the game in different way I’d say

Even with the Instance coin shop, 300 components is quite a steep price for such low tier equips.
Dunno if it’s more of a problem of the instance not giving enough rewards (likely) or the Instance coin shop being in dire need of a facelift (and boy, do it needs it) tho.

I don’t know how to quote lol, but you are right on both arguments, 300 charleston components don’t worth 300 instance coins.
And instance coin NPC need a revamp, it is a good suggestion to ask but I have know idea about the ratio of [mats value/instance coin]. We need to start a brainstorming about the ratio [mats/IC].

@Jakabo I think perhaps you should get a hold of mad monkey on discord and discuss it with him, then apply his opinion to your post. Or, you can ask him directly on here to give a lengthy example of what the numbers should look like, but it would make things easier on Muh/Ice if you had a personal talk and then made a short list of changes.

As for the ratio, I’d say something like 10-15 components per completed instances (instead of 3) and 5-10 for 1 coin in the Instance coin shop (instead of 1:1).
Not too sure about the numbers.
It might be a bit high but then, not everyone run instances with a dozen alts.
(And it’s outdated content anyway)
