Currently, bloody branch farming is the most popular form of mvping and field mvping is quite uncommon. As a result, MVP hunting on fields and dungeons isn’t super competitive here (which is fine).
As someone who used to field mvp but stopped in lieu of bloody branches, one of the main reasons why I believe this to be is that field mvping is a lot more work for a lot less benefit. I have to spend more time looking for field mvps than actually killing them so BBG is a lot less worthwhile and HE BBG is definitely not worthwhile. Generally, the only mvps that I saw had competition when I used to field mvp was mainly the varmundt ones (that gave BSB and chance of hammer). I think the best way to increase field mvp competition (if that is a goal) would be to make it more worthwhile. I would like to recommend a few suggestions here:

Field mvps have a .12% chance of drop that is unaffected by drop rate gear or BBG/HE BBG. This however would increase the amount of MVP cards on the server

Special boxes are dropped by field MVPs that can contain additional loots (idk like costumes, muh coins, cash shop items, etc.). Drop rate should not be affected by bbg or drop rate gear.

MVP Point or Currency is added for field MVP points and can be used for stuff (idk like costumes, muh coins, etc.)

MVP Ladder is added and players with the top field MVP kills per month get special rewards.
I’m fine with the current state of things, but I just wanted to post this to see if people think that we could see an increase in MVP competition, and ask your opinion and thoughts on possible changes

I field MVP regularly and there’s always high competition on farming MVP cards.
MVPs with bad or undesirable cards such as osiris usually don’t have as much competition due to their poor card value but good MVPs like nightmare amon ra, Kiel, GTB, FBH and so on are typically competed for.
That said, field MVP farming doesn’t come close to how time efficient bloody branch farming is.
I wouldn’t like MVP cards to become more common than they already are so I’m against the idea of increasing field MVP card rates.

Kinda digging the concept but not sure about how to make it viable.
Not sure either wether or not making field MvPs more competitive would be a good thing for the long term health of the community.
Quite the number of unapologetic KSers already in those few “good” farming maps.
One can imagine how that’d go for free-for-all MvPs.

@MadMonkey Yes, but that’s what the term competition is for. This is a great idea, but it needs to be tweaked. Unfortunately, MVP hunting was always competitive, and always unfair, because it is a free for all. You can’t really make adjustments to make it fair because it’s a mob. UNLESS, first tap first serve? that might create a solution and a problem all at the same time 
I’d like to read more suggestions on this.

Nope I disagree with this part, lowering drops from bloody branch does nothing but fuck over all the new players while giving everyone that has been farming MVP cards here for months/years an unfair advantage, widening the gap between older and newer players in terms of end-game power in an unfair way. I don’t think there should be a direct change to mvp (card) drop rates, the rates are just fine now, not easy, not impossible.

This is an interesting one. Maybe it’d be better to make it .08% chance (regular BBG), while disabling the effects of regular BBG on field MVPs. And HE BBG would increase it to .12%, same as now. This way it would just be a small quality of life buff. It probably wouldn’t cause a significant difference in terms of the number of MVP cards drops, but would make it so the players hunting fields MVPs don’t waste eden coins in an inefficient way, removing an annoyance.
I don’t hate the idea of making it .12% like the initial suggestion but it may be a bit too much, that would cause a significant increase to the number of mvp cards in the server which is a worry.
