Change mechanics of the Village of Deception instance

Hello MUH RO team.

I really like to do instances to get cards and enjoy the game my way.

I can’t do this instance without having a duo or another player to open the portal simultaneously.I would really like this to be changed and I can open the door alone without needing to log in as a duo or have help from another teammate.

Just change the first step of the instance and everything looks great.

If this was an actual “group content” that people can enjoy together, like Alice or CT, then I would be opposed to this suggestion.

But that’s not the case, at this point its just an outdated instance where the basic instance rewards are completely useless. It’s not like other group contents like Alice/CT etc where everyone earns a good reward for participating. The only valuable reward from this instance is the MVP card, which is not a good motivator for recruiting a party at all: Why would anyone want to make parties when the only possible reward is a card that they can’t share? Obviously everyone prefers dual clienting to join so that they’ll actually have the card to themselves, and have 2x more chance of obtaining it.

I’m against gameplay mechanics giving an advantage to multi-client over single-client, or forcing people to multic-client, so obviously I hate the current implementation of this instance as well. Hell, either make it actually require 2 unique master accounts, or allow us to join it alone, anything is better than the current implementation.

Totally against. This is an MMO game, there will always be a partner for this dungeon, if you don’t want to share the loot, make a second window. The game is sharpened for multi-windows. Justify, this is “old” content, lmao, so let’s immediately give out bosses at the entrance to all old dungeons. Everyone plays / farms in multi-windows and only for some reason this dungeon touched topicstarter. I have seen a lot of whining on the forum, this is one of its highest forms.

Kinda agree with Pipo but without all the disdain.
There’s more than enough solo enabling content as it is, I’d rather we do not slash whatever few genuinely designed for party play content there is.
No matter the reason.

I agree with you Pipo, but what is there in this instance that makes players want the loots that drop there? Do you happen to use Vivatus weapons? If you want, I can send you a whole box with weapons and loot from this instance in your rodex. This instance is old. We are not talking about a current instance with meta gears.

@Pipo By the way, you shouldn’t even do this…you’re going against a suggestion that you don’t even really care about.

@Pipo

So you’re saying “It’s an MMO game!” as reasoning to oppose the suggestion, and proceeding to recommend opening a second client and solo clearing the instance? I’m sorry but multiclienting is still playing a solo game, you’re not doing anything MMO-like. If you actually cared about the MMO aspect or the party content you’d suggest limiting the instance to 2+ unique master accounts, your argument is nothing but disingenuous.

I’m fine with it either way btw:

  • You want it to be a party content? Make it a requirement to bring at least 2 master accounts, and buff the dungeon rewards to compensate for that, including the card drop rate. That way people will actually make parties for it.
  • Or accept the fact that its an instance for solo players at this point and remove the 2 client requirement.

Shoving multiclient requirement down the throat of players is the worst option. The current requirement of “2+ game accounts” doesn’t serve any purpose, it doesn’t promote party play, it only promotes multiclienting. And sure multiclienting should be allowed but it doesn’t need promoting. No content in this game should have a requirement like that, it makes no sense whatsoever.

I won’t attack a suggestion for no reason or rant over someone’s reply excessively just because I disagree with it. Since it’s not my suggestion to begin with and it has a good reasoning behind. But tbh the 2 character requirement is barely an inconvenience. Even for me who can’t even open more than 3 clients (2 up till the recent client update that somehow lowers the cpu usage for some reason), I personally feel like it’s a unique challenge of the instance that I had to overcome and learned how to overcome it out of necessity. I know of some players who made just a dozen mains and alts just to do this instance. So neutral on this. But I prefer it stays this way.

I’m actually okay with bringing another char in, the problem for me is that the alt char also needs to go to the hassle of walking through those annoying ghosts that knocks 50% hp out of you if you touch it and go through the gradual gravity thingy on the next room. So i guess +1?

@MadMonkey same sentiment as monkey, i’d want to “official” experience to remain the same, it’s a hassle for me too but i dont want to take it away from others.

+1 I mean bring an alt just to “open” its kinda meme , since duo clients its ok we can just do this change for QoL.

Can we please costume edit the Instance so that you can solo the Instance?

The Instance isnt BiS Gear/Enchant for a long time. Only the 2 MVP Cards are the reason most player run it (BiS against Boss MVP).

I got 2 suggestions:

  1. Make it so that you only need to press 1 of the Switches. (You made a change like that as well in the Werner Laboratory for Cutie/YSF)
  2. Make it so that you can press both Switches after each other and not together at the same time.

Storywise it makes sense to press both Switches at the same time - But since you did the same thing with Werner Laboratory Story/Lore Reasons arent a thing you considere.

The Instance is hard enough with the ghosts you need to pass at the first and third stage - So on its own its not a cake walk!

I think the mechanic was originally intended to force party play and maybe that works on official, but here it just makes people log in an alt-client in for each run.

This was already suggested (here), it’s got the accepted tag too.

@CongaLyne

Excactly what I do.

RIght now I just use one of my Buff Cardinals to kill the monsters on the road and activate the switch via Client Tabing.

SUre, making 15 Cardinals took some time and costed 10m each for the Episode Coupons, but I think we can make it easier for everyone ^^

@jinbou

Great, thanks for pointing that out^^

Its almost 2 months ago now, so we might want to see this topic as an ,please add it now" XD

I’ve already suggested this topic and I’m eagerly waiting for them to make the change. It shouldn’t take long, they should just change one topic and that’s it.

Might as well make it for every other instances at this point.
CT, Alice, etc…
Why even bother?
You see some peeps asking for party based content every other thread and then, when there is one legit designed around having at least 2 players, nobody can apparently be arsed to play along.
