Alternatives to get Costume Enchantment Stone

I’ve heard complaints among guildmates and friends about the current method to obtain Costume Enchantment Stone, myself included. This gacha system like is very displeasing unless you hit the jackpot super early. Assuming you get 10 Fashion Points every 30min, you need to actively play the game for 2h 30m to get a single box with a low chance to get the actual good Enchant Stones.

I thought some alternative methods to improve this system and this is what I came up with:

  1. First is the Ragnarok way of things, which is grinding. Let us kill 1k, 3k or even 5k mobs to get the Costume Enchant.

  2. Decrease each box price to 30 Fashion Points.

  3. A pity system. Instead of converting Stones into 10 Fashion Points, we could recycle those into a coin/currency that would let us to eventually trade for a desired Costume Enchant. Something like this:
    • Each Stone can be recycled for 1 of said currency;
    • Costume Enchant are divided into categories, for example, Low Enchants (Atk , MAtk), Intermediate Enchants (Teleport, Minor Fixed Casting), High Enchants (Melee, Ranged, Fixed Casting), Job Tier I Enchants (High Wizard stone, Lord Knight stone), Job Tier II Enchants (Warlock stone, Rune Knight stone) and Dual Enchants;
    • Each categories requires an amount of currency to buy like 5 for Low, 50 for Job Tier I, 100 for Job Tier II and 150 for Dual. Basically the rarer a stone, the more currency it would cost;

Anyway, these are just some ideas I think 1 or 2 could be implemented. Suggestions, critics or improvements are welcomed. Also, I’ll edit this post later to try make it look more organized.

You know that you can trade in Costumes for Fashion points… you can grind them in Bio5 each costum there is a Fashionpoint worth… so there is already a way to grind them… and with Malangdo Cans you can buy Enchant Boxes too (Paramarket).

For the first point, you can obtain Fashion Points by turning in Costumes from Bio5, but yeah in the end, it is still gacha. I think having some sort of pity system would make it ‘easier’ to get and not reliant on literal luck. The tiered (e.g. tiering by chance in gacha box) stones would also be some sort of compromise to make enchant stones a valuable commodity in the market.

(Pardon my English if what I wrote isn’t clear.)

@Raylane Yeah, I verified earlier on the wiki, indeed good info. But I still think a pity system of sorts could be helpful. I play mobile gacha games for years now and nowadays even the most harsh of gachas out there has somewhat of pity system to prevent burnouts.

@Raylane It’s good that alternative ways exist, but I don’t feel that this is a viable option.
Bio5 costumes are about 5% drop chance, so let’s say you get about 2 costumes/minute (about 40 kills/minute which I would consider quite fast). That’s about 25 minutes for one costume box. However considering the time you need to storage, rebuff, and to make calculation easier, I’ll just go with 30mins. That would be 2 boxes/h.

Now I’ll take the popular example of Cast Stone (Garment) as it makes or breaks certain build. The box with highest odds is 0.37%, or 1 in ~270. So on average you’d need to farm 135 hours to grind for that stone (by that method alone, which I admit will not be the case). However, due to the nature of that system there is of course no guarantee, maybe you get it instantly, maybe you will never get it in your whole time playing.

I think this issue mostly alleviates itself simply by more players entering the server now, so players who get lucky and don’t need a specific enchant stone will likely just put them on the market.
But I can also see how it would be great to add a way to guarantee a specific enchant stone somehow (e.g. pity system).

Already rejected before sadly.

Quite tragic, cause I just spent 84 Boxes and another 13 Boxes after recycling

Just to find myself not getting the costume stone that I wanted Minor Cast Stone (Dual). I don’t know how many active playtime in hours are those 4200 Fashion points equal to.

maybe increasing the fashion points on biolab costume hg could solve this, idk

@Meer I’m actually very sorry to hear that. 4200 Fashion Points would be equal to 210 hours or almost 9 days of active playtime.

@biel That’s a good idea. This current system is hard to justify. It doesn’t encourage players to be active since it’s not really rewarding when it comes to Costume Enchants and the way it seems main source of Fashion Points is Bio5 farming.
