Allow Wig and Eye Costumes to Reform as Effect Enchantments

Allow wig and eye costumes to be converted or purchased as “Effect” costumes. These previously-designated costume items will reform into Effect Stones which player can designate on either a Top or Mid Costume on any available slot.

Why is this a good idea?

Anyone can find costumes and create novel combinations through four costume slots. More depth in character storytelling is introduced by Effect Stones that make it personalization even more compelling and fun.

I think wig and eye costumes fall into this category. They take place as base layers that give depth, but they’re not actual Top and Mid costumes. Here are the upsides:

  • Minor zeny sink mechanism through costume investment.
  • Increased variety in costume ideas that feed into our costume events.
  • Marketable server feature unique from other private servers.
  • General satisfaction with optimizing Top and Mid slots for actual headgears.

What risks or downsides does it have?

I’m unable to think of front-end downsides, maybe implementation due to backend work is difficult but I’ve seen something similar happen with Summer Vacation effect (I am misremembering the actual name).

Let me know if anyone has opposing ideas.

@fishie90 this can’t work as the character has a limited amount of headgear sprite slots.
