Description:
Allow an accident-proof dialog option for Lunos to reset your character to 1x. The reset will wipe pre-existing dungeon/progression accesses, quest turn-ins, but retain original utility investments such as:
- The character’s Name
- 20 levels max Gym Pass
- 10 levels max Haggler Pass
- 8 levels max Inventory Expansion Pass
Why is this a good idea?
I think it would streamline the 1x concept, allowing for a “transcendent” experience, honoring the loyal MuhRO player’s previous character investments, also applying the 1x challenge. There’s both a sentimental and financial investment on providing this alternative instead creating an unnecessary carbon copy that feels disjointed.
What risks or downsides does it have?
The downside would be an accidental and irreversible act that would permanently revert the player’s character to 1/1, but designing a spamproof dialogue to prevent this I am sure is possible.
Additional Info:
The concept of weaving the 1x as a “transcendence” feature is similar to the original 2nd job idea. It brings the adventure full circle. Lunos, a familiar face, asks for you to end your journey in this reality and into a new, more prosperous one. He applies the same EXP rate question for newbies onto you. I think it’s kind of poetic?
