That one is about some capability to tests build or stuff, without having to endure the cost of it.
it could also help playerx to provide more guide on the wiki.
currently there not that much way to simulate things.
So i came with the idea to have a map server (or a full environment for that, don’t know the best implementation) dedicated for that, with a few harmless commands provided (@item, @refine etc)
to avoid some player to play on it, it could be wiped at regular time.

This is completely the opposite of theorycrafting, you are going to go and directly test the equipment as you wish, without analysis or effort, this would kill the game. A new piece of equipment comes out, you go to the test server, you use an @item command to generate it just the way you want it and you try it, and if it doesn’t work you don’t do it in the real game, you totally destroy the fun of the game.

@guezel I wouldn’t say it destroys the fun, but could create a meta economy, which could ruin the way things are priced and gradually raised or reduced.
I disagree with this change, unfortunately.

Pretty sure there already is a test server.
It’s just not public.
Understandably so as those are mostly used not for build testing but rather for balance/bug testing.

I know some old server had public test server (like one im not gonna mentino rip) but your gear was the same as the one you have in the real server or a backup of older files.
If we had access to @spawn item then it will basically create a meta market that will kill every variation possible cuz everyone will want the bis item that’s already tested.
testing, failing is also part of the ro fun.

Never is, never was.
I agree with the rest tho.
This is what theorycrafting is used for.
No need for a dedicated server to do it.

-1 for me, It’d take a lot of the fun out of putting theory to the test if I could go onto a “creative mode” server and test what the outcome was.
