It would be nice to be able to max out Temporal Circlets without going through the RNG.
This is what I think upgrading from level 6-10 will cost based on the values of upgrading from level 1-5.
Lvl 5 → 6 = 26m + 60 Temporal Spell
Lvl 6 → 7 = 50m + 70 Temporal Spell
Lvl 7 → 8 = 98m + 80 Temporal Spell
Lvl 8 → 9 = 194m + 90 Temporal Spell
Lvl 9 → 10 = 388m + 100 Temporal Spell
Obviously, an exponential increase would feel bad, so mixing in some other materials like Powerful Dimensional Essence, and other Glast Heim instance related materials would be good as well. Hopefully, it should also be feasible for the average person to get.

I did some calculations a while back and it was stupidly expensive to get those to Lv 10. We’re talking thousands of billions zeny. So you need some insane luck or an insane budget to even consider a small possibility of getting there.
So yeah I’m all for adding a reasonable way to max out Temporal Circlets. Even if Lv 10 were to cost 1 billion zeny, it would be way better than what we currently have. Although I’d rather require more farming of items and not as much zeny.

I read somewhere that a +8 acute headgear is already stronger than a Boitata hat, so i agree with aqua’s post.

@Aqua It’s because it would be awesome to have access to best-in-slot (BiS) gear with a lot less RNG and gamble. We already have access to upgrade the enchant levels to max for Constellation Tower set, the former BiS, and the 3rd and 4th slot of Varmundt Biosphere rings, the current BiS accessories; and said gear do not have an upgrade option on vanilla servers, yet we got it. So why not expand that option to Temporal Circlet? It would also give endgame supports an option to expand their gear (Adamantine / Affection)
Temporal Circlets (TC) are also limited to the job you get it for. The MVP headgears are universal to that category of job.
(Vesper = Magic / Boitata = Crit / Beelz = Non-crit). Considering grading an item to Grade A costs around 200-400m at average, that’s already good for universal lategame gear. For TC, the current method of maxing it can single-handedly cost you billions unless you have insane luck; and you can only use it on a single job.
So being able to max Temporal Circlets are neat considering the budget you need, and helps with late-game gearing.

Sooo… There’s no point on adding new equipment because the old one will be better?
Up to this point in a couple of cases even a TC with acute level 5 enchantment is already comparable to a boitata hat
I feel that a beel crown or a vesper headgear would be more difficult to beat than a boitata hat (I mention this to talk not only about the critical side but I clearly see that Beel and Vesper have better bonuses than Boitata)
But… that’s the idea, right? Isn’t newer equipment better than old?
I mean, you can still struggle to get a level 6 or 7 enchantment for pure RNG, anything above that feels… greedy (in my opinion)
I say this even though most of my characters are crit based and use a TC
just my thought.

I’m afraid that I have to say that -1 on this one. Temp Circlet at max enchant can make the newer gears useless. You should be lucky that Temp Circlet is tradable here because usually Temp Circlet is account bound in kRO.

I am curious on how the Depths 2 circlet upgrades work and how good they are opposed to the mvp headgears. If those have safe options to +10 and are across the board better than the mvp headgears, then I don’t really see a problem with temporal circlets/Bio headgears having safe options to +10, but if they don’t have a safe to +10 option, I would be against the safe options to +10 for TC/bio (The depths 2 stuff is pretty far in the future tho)
I agree with misao though that if an option is added the upgrade should be weighed more on the temporal spells

We just should make equip “easier” to get when it’s “outdated”. TC (enchant lv 5/6) is one of BiS and the best for getting Critical Rate. Keeping it high risk high reward is good now

@cheverlotte But why would you max level TC in the first place if the other gears are better? This would just make TC the only end-game option for crit jobs because of Acute. Which doesn’t make sense because TC is supposed to be not bis (in this day and age) and only a mid-game/early end-game option before you transition to the MVP headgears.

They chances for these headgears as well as bio ones are fairly higher than on official servers. And as these are still very relevant for some builds we’ll keep the upgrade chances unchanged.
