Title: In-Game Title and Achievements

  1. This feature introduces an Achievements and Titles system where players can unlock unique rewards (titles and such) by completing missions and maintaining activity. Players would need to accomplish specific tasks or missions (e.g., speak in town for X number of times, defeat X enemies, craft X items) to unlock achievements.

Why is this a good idea?

  1. Gives players accomplishments outside of gear farming: Achievements and titles provide alternative goals, so players can feel rewarded even if they’re not focused on grinding for gear.
  2. Not tied to gear progression: This ensures achievements benefit both casual and hardcore gamers—casual players get recognition without needing top-tier equipment, while hardcore players enjoy extra challenges on top of their usual progression.
  3. Enhances player identity: Unlockable titles serve as status symbols, letting players show off dedication and unique playstyles.

What risks or downsides does it have?

  1. Not sure there is any.

Additional Info:

  1. None at the moment.

It would be even cooler if there were unique and exclusive costumes for those who have a unique and difficult mission to complete, for example:

Finish 500 races and it’s REALLY HARD.

Finish 500 races at depth 1 and earn an exclusive costume.

And so on.
