Duplication of Costume Stones

Hello everybody, would like the idea of duplicating Costume Stones implemented. MuhRO have lots of amazing costume and each time we change costume we have to @go main, walk to 2nd floor and remove the costume stone from npc and it’s quite tedious. So i would like to suggest in order to make it duplicable, we have to bind the costume stone to master account by paying small fee? maybe some muh coins per duplicate? make it unable to recycle for Fashion Point and not-tradable to others and its not reversible.

How would this work with alts?

@myntsu

For example you want to duplicate teleport stone (low), you still gacha from the vending machine.
Once you get it, you pay a fee to turn the teleport stone (low) to bound, then you can duplicate as many as you want. Bounded costume stone can’t be traded, recycled into fashion point but can be placed into master storage.

+1 just because I was to look fashionable while I farm and so I don’t have to swap out costumes every time - but how would that work with the costumes with the stone? They become account bound as well?

@mikukitsune If possible, once the costume stone enchanted into the costume, the costume become bounded (untradable) but if remove the costume stone (bound), the costume returns to normal, but the costume stone remain bounded.

Example:-
teleport stone (low) bounded → costume invisible mask = both untradable
Once the teleport stone (low) bounded removed from costume invisible mask, the mask become tradable but the teleport stone (low) bounded remained untradable.

can be stored in master storage is big no,if account storage yes since it wont disturb the market much

@Vividz i thought about that too, but do people really buy multiple costume stones to put into different costume?

I do buy for multiple characters, in some cases there is repeated ones.

This is a wonderful idea, but comes with a price towards the market. I personally don’t care, but perhaps we can limit these to something like teleport stones and other utility stones to at least preserve class stones and stat related stones.

I have mixed thoughts on this suggestion, on the one hand I would agree because I would like to be able to use different costumes with each character and have the costume stones without assuming costs. On the other hand I would oppose it because people who do this move the market, since you have to invest in stones several times, which can be a good income for new players who are starting on the server.

After having written all this, I think my mind leans towards BEING AGAINST this suggestion, because it would imply reducing the possible income of new players, and harming people who have already made the investment. I don’t think we should reduce expenses in this sense, we already have many whales accumulating zeny. And I know that they will respond that a cost would be applied to do this, but let’s be honest, that cost will always be MUCH lower than having to invest in several sets of stones.

Also remembered that costume stones are part of a circular economy.

If you break down the cycle, it will hurt majorly new players.

@guezel

I’m with you here. I’m against this idea as well…for the same reasons. sorry folks

@guezel oh thats fair, then how about we change the requirement for duplication to slightly remedy the market being affected. In order to duplicate the costume stone, another costume stone of the same type have to be used as a catalyst to duplicate another one. This makes players willing to buy those least favored costume stone from the same category.

Example : Teleport stone (low) is from Low Box 1, another costume stone from Low Box 1 is needed to be used to clone the Teleport stone (low).

@sakura

The problem with that is that it will cause devaluation in the same way, it will not raise the price of junk stones, because fashion points are “farmed” passively, simply by being in the game, so I just have to have 50 fashion points, buy a box, get a junk stone and clone a stone that would have cost me 20-30-50-100m to buy.

The gacha system is what gives them value. If we make it easier to obtain them we will only irreparably harm a market that mainly favors new players.

Also, people who want to have several costumes with the stones in all of them are usually people who have already finished their equipment, and have nowhere to spend their zeny and just see how it accumulates, so they spend it on costumes and stones for themselves, and make their characters pretty and functional. And even if you already have your gear ready, but you’re not a zeny hoarder and you want to do this, it will give you a reason to farm and be active in the game, instead of just sit down on Prontera and wherever you want.

Even if you don’t have your equipment ready and you want to do this, you will have to analyze and establish your priorities. It is part of the economy and planning of each person.

@guezel I just want to state that this change would HELP new players, because it reduces costs to them. It would not harm them at all. They also can’t take advantage of this, because they’re new, and barely have any fashion points to spend. This is a time gated currency, and new players would benefit from being able to duplicate these stones for their own convenience.

@guezel i get what you mean, but to get 50 fashion points you have to play the game for 2 and a half hour and it’s really inefficient to be the main zeny maker. If the affect of this change will bring the costume stones price lower, isn’t that better for everyone? as EvilLumi stated. New players could get costume stones that would help them early stage of the game. As for veterans or end game players, there’s already a lots of zeny shinking mechanic like refining, bb’s spamming, min-maxing on enchant and so on. Analyze and establish priorities are mostly for people that are serious and want to reach end game, some people are here just to enjoy different costume while playing the game, and again Muhro have lots of costume and its ashamed not to utilize them.

There’s a “much simpler” solution.

Attach the stone to the slot, and not to the costume. No need for duplicates, market will affected regardless.

This feels like an unnecessary use of development time considering how cheap costume stones already are

+1, make it account bound
Just want to look nice while farming with alts
If it lower price of Costumes Stones it would also help newbies.
Fashion points should be for fashion anyways.
Also Costume stones are not cheap anymore due to recent increase in FP price because Halloween costumes in FP are nice.
For example :
EM costume would cost 30m (garment) + 20m sorc lower + 10m sorc upper + 25m sorc mid = 85m total just for 1 alt

-1 will affect the market of costume stones
