Currency Exchange Idea

Making the Currencies Exchangeable into eachother.

My Perspective and Thought behind it…

*As a newbie or Solo/Duo player (2 weeks now) its very slow to get to money.
Unfortunately the market doesnt hold a load of items ready that we beginners NEED so there’s a race for the few items that exist….. BUT

I want to* emphasize I respect and support the no pay to win idea of the server.
Its great not having to sell an arm and a leg irl for a ring. I like that…..yet….

I was suggested to sell some vouchers, which I would be willing to but they are hardly sold.
So I would suggest them to be sellable to merchants (OR maybe ONLY THE MUHTHANKS TICKETS)
for the Owners targeted amount of value.

Say 1000 Coins = 10Mil (cuz clean even 10er number)

The Problem is: you cant really SELL THEM if no one wants to BUY them.
Im seeing someone trying to get rid of 50- for days now.
So ontop of that what if… we could convert:

1 MuhThanks Ticket (Donation) = 1 Muh Voucher (as it was I think?)
1 Muh Voucher = 100 Muh Coin (as the market value seems to be)

Sales Value (in zeny at NPC) of MuhThanksTicket, MuhVoucher (worth 1000 CashPoints) - > 10million Zeny

And to keep the game none pay to win.
Exchange BACKWARDS:

10mil Zeny to 1 Muh Voucher or 100 MuhCoin So we have a cycle.
(and people can fully easily even without market availability get cash items by farming zeny)

Heck maybe even buy Instance coins (and or other neccessary currencies)
for a very high price so people can Chose how to get their things.

Like:
“Not much time to play? Pay money, no time to grind events, convert into muhcoins (which I think people use for HE bubblegum Idk for sure yet)
No gear, no want, no time for instances- convert other currencies into those u need.”

I think that way people could aquire the things they need even if the resources arent there
(Such as buyers for vouchers, people willing to run instances /-you not having the TIME for instances-
or having time when u do or for some people even:
speaking the same language fluently as you do)

(I HOPE this is understandable. Im known to write things weirdly. ADHD sorry)

What risks or downsides does it have?

It could fully crash the market. Or make people not play much at all anymore.
I unfortunately dont have the insight yet.
I dont personally think that this would make the server pay to win cuz
As I calculated: a 2 billion Zeny Item would cost you 200 euro in donation money and I HOPE NO ONE SELLS THEIR FIRST BORN FOR A SWORD O _ O (also- maybe the maths is wrong I suck at that aswell)
If at all it enables everyone to have access to the things they long for.

Disclaimer:
*To the rich people and very much loved and respected owner and GMs and Mods:
Again I dont know if that would be the worst idea possible. Dont burn me alive.
I just make a suggestion from my perspective and the cash to zeny possibilities (very bad) existing in game as of right now.
Like I said: I need to now grind 160 hours straight in niffdun for my headgear Q_Q aaaand Im already in very big pain.
That means 2 full work weeks XD And I cant get it any other way cuz Im not geared to farm MVPs or such whatsoever, and dont have the timeline to play contents with others.

….. so yeah… take this suggestion please with a grain of salt (from my tears)
And Ignore it if its bad. but please dont flame me.
I WOULD THINK it could benefit each step in game advancement equally….But I dont know for sure.

Anyway have a great day and fun gaming!

PS: really sorry if this is a pain to read. orz*

If you say you can’t sell it I believe the problem is on your pricing. Historical prices of muh vouchers has been lower than the current rate (above 10 millions each)

July 2024: around 6 millions

Sep 2024: around 4 millions

Jan 2025: around 6 millions

July 2025: around 8 millions

Now: above 10 millions

At this rate it is Barely worth to buy it too overpriced. Personally for me it is better just go to do some events and also that it seems that they’re drowning us with muh coins knowing all these overpriced vouchers. Might or might not related tho (it’s just my ovlbservation).

Traditional equilibrium price have been 6-8m range, 7m median. It’s not fair to blame others for one’s own greed

@tapriica just a note, if I didn’t misunderstand it, this is already in place:
1 Muh Thanks Ticket = 1 Muh Voucher
You can use both tickets for 1k points.

As someone who donates quite frequently I think this would be a very bad idea to implement. I understand the frustration of not being able to sell Muh Vouchers but as previously mentioned in this thread - that’s because your concept of their value is overpriced due to two primary factors.

  1. Muh Coins are ridiculously easy to farm with the current event which has put significant downward pressure on the price of vouchers due to the conversion. Realistically - the price of vouchers can not out strip the cost of 100 coins and if coins are relatively easy to purchase at 90-100k ea then the voucher must cap at 9-10m respectively unless ignorant buyers are active in the market.
  2. The second cause for downward pressure is due to us being on the back end of the egg schedule. After maintenance when new seasonal and holiday eggs are added to the store you will see the price of vouchers spike and clear out initially as people will want to gamble. The desirability of costumes plays a significant role in how quick and sharply this happens. 1 chase costume will have a much weaker economic impact than an egg with multiple chases and sought after costumes.

If your vouchers are not selling it’s simply because they are overpriced. It’s unknown how much the staff drive down the price of vouchers with event design but with multiple weeks of players being able to earn 100+ coins for each event participation means every player is capable of earning 2-3 vouchers a day for doing essentially nothing for 5 minutes.

Additionally, I understand that you’re looking at the solution for this to be the backward feedback of the loop where players can buy vouchers directly from an NPC for zeny just as easily as they can sell them right?

The problem here is that the supply and demand sides of the equation will not be equal and it will cause massive inflation in the server rather quickly. The supply of vouchers ALWAYS exceeds the demand for vouchers (and this is apparent because if the opposite were true they would not sit in vends for weeks at a time). Because of this the zeny creep will be significant and will be especially damaging long term. The only people who would benefit from this change are the people in front that sell before the inflation kicks in as they will have the advantage of high liquidity before prices adjust. New players or players that can not donate and thus benefit from the easy cash flow will see the prices of everything slowly increase in a substantial way. A change like this will cause end game equipment and MVP card prices to more than double within a few months.

There are many ways to make money, there’s a guide for that on the wiki. You can go to Istana Cave with Eden gear and a creamy card, farm 1000 elu in 30 minutes and sell them for 50m. There’s a difference between not being able to farm money and not knowing how to farm money, if you’re a new player it’s normal that you don’t know everything about the game yet.

There’s a good reason why you can’t sell vouchers at the moment, players received a large amount of muh coins in a recent event so there’s less demand.

A good alternative if you really want to sell muh vouchers is check what items you can buy with cash points and check what sells and what doesn’t. Things like HD Elu sell by the hundreds every day, rare costumes sell for hundreds of millions if you’re feeling lucky.

I think the system we have now works pretty well, we don’t need an easy way to inject more money into the game.
