Adding vendor trash to Oz dungeon

As an experienced player, I hate telling new people that on their path for progression, to do Oz dungeon and collect amethyst fragments to make wolf pieces. Why do I hate it? Because the only thing you’re going to Oz dungeon for is the fragments; its a terrible place for money, and it has low rates for shadowdecon/zelunium. Low rates for shadowdecon/zelunium are fine, its an early area for endgame, don’t change that.

A few months ago, many endgame areas got adjusted so vendor trash from them became a decent way to make zeny. Could vendor trash also be added to Oz dungeon so midgame people can farm amethyst fragments and make money at the same time?

I would have to disagree here.

By efficiently running Oz Dungeon you can net even higher income than end-game dungeons.

Oz is fine at it is: great income resource, low entry barrier.

Shouldn’t earlygame areas provide less zeny/hr than lategame areas so lategame equipment holds more value than earlygame gear?
If earlygame dungeons gave just as much zeny as lategame dungeons, everyone would flood the earlygame dungeons because the monsters are easier to farm and make it impossible for new players to get their foot in the door

@gohobojoe The problem with Oz is that, while farming wolf gears there can be a nightmare for certain classes, it’s actually a decent spot for fast-farming classes to make money by selling fragments to other players. If you make it even better by adding valuable misc items, the results might not be so great.

Fragments are already going for less than 30k, and boosting the misc farming potential there would likely tank the prices on the market even more. Honestly, I don’t think we need that right now.

@CongaLyne We wish, thats not the case rn, and we know that. Even more if you add the non stable player market, raw zeny can be a decent contender to mat farming/bb, sometimes even better. And most raw zeny areas are more commonly found early game/mid gameish.

Moving this to rejected.
But on the side note, there will be other changes to Oz Dun so stay tuned.
